Despite consisting of less than 7,000 housing units, the Malibu real estate market is one of the most closely followed in the country. The coastal enclave regularly makes headlines around the world, be that from celebrity buyers, exceptional homes or record-breaking sales or, in some cases, all three.
Whether this reputation for exclusivity and big-time sales is the result of its limited supply or the cause of it is still to be determined. What is clear, however, is that Malibu is currently facing an extreme inventory shortage.
